Re-releases for 2011

Post by rhurst »

Since I have no desire in extending the VIC Software Sprite Stack (vic-sss) to BASIC, I made changes to most of the relevant sprite registers to use ZERO page addresses, which reduced both the program size (100 - 200 bytes each) and CPU cycles -- which translates to less disk/tape blocks for faster loading times and a bit snappier game play. :D

I recompiled and tested my games for regressions, in order Quikman+, Omega Fury, Berzerk MMX, Break-Out!, and Sprite Invaders. Each also reflects a copyright 2011. Their respective source code has been updated in my subversion repository only.

You can fetch individual PRG files from here.

You can get a consolidated floppy diskette image with all of my programs here.

You can download all of it as one large archive with source here.

Enjoy!

Any more thoughts about making a CBM PRG Studio friendly version?

Absolutely, just got 1.6 and will make the attempt again. Hopefully, label rules are clear and (more importantly) cheap local labels. Without them, it will make the translation much more difficult.
