Wanted: Recommendations for a site to host software releases

Post by Kananga »

I just tried to upload a new release for my Vic-20 Emulator on Google code and it says "Google Code will not support creating new downloads starting January 15th, 2014. See here for more information." which doesnt sound too bad, because it would leave me some time to find other means for releasing new software versions, but I am unable to upload anything now (also yesterday, been trying - no success).

Do you have recommondations for another site where you can host code (by using a versioning system like subversion) and provide packages for releases?

Hmm... SourceForge and GitHub spring into my mind here.

Thanks for the answers!

CommodereServer is not exactly what I need for the Emulator project.

I'll probably go with sourceforge, where I also found this, which makes migration a lot easier :)
