Quick 'Hello' from Cardiff!

Post by plume »

Hi all,

Just a quick one to say 'hello'. Have owned a VIC20 along with my C64 since I was 12 (33 now), and have always really enjoyed their 8bit sorcery ('good' sorcery, mind you...)

Have had a C64 setup permanently for a number of years, and now seeing this site (seems to have the same friendly atmosphere as Lemon64 aswell), has inspired me to set the VIC up too. So, well...thanks!

Hope to take some pictures soon, ta-ta!

Oh, I visit Cardiff every 3 years (when I go to the U.K.). I go there to look over the Amiga and Commodore goods at AmigaKit.

Welcome!

Next visit in 2014,

Ha! Was thinking of popping to Amigakit today to pick up a new A500+ power supply, it's only around 20 or so minutes from my house on the bus. See you in 2014!

Heh, it's only a 12-hour non-stop flight to Heathrow or Gatwick for me and then another 5 or 6-hour train ride. ;)

Hello from er... the West Midlands (mostly) and Cheshire (sometimes). I really like the VIC (and secretly prefer it to the C64, but don't tell anyone).

If you ever venture over the border into the Midlands, give me a shout or something ;-)

Regards,

Shaun.

Firstly, thank you Jeff for taking the time to welcome me to the site, and secondly, Shaun, I won't tell Mayhem or any of the other Lemon64 crew that you secretly prefer VIC! ;)

In all seriousness, I have really enjoyed hanging around Lemon forums since around 2006+ and have only recently decided to paticipate in the forums both there, and just by happy serendipity, here too. Anyway, got to get back to finishing 'Voodoo Castle'.

(Stuck on the part with making a note of Count Cristo's name...bugger! I'm sure I'll figure it out...or maybe I won't. I might have to employ the remaining 'Bletchly Park girls' to help me decipher this horriffic puzzle...)

...Just got it... sorry, I was just being a prick...(It was SO obvious, mind you, I then got stuck on the 'safe opening' part!...) anyway, thanks again for the warm welcome! I do have a few friends in Warrington Shaun, if I'm up that way I'll give you a shout man.
