Commodore Collection up for sale

Post by KilrPilr »

Well I think im done with my collection of commodore stuff so Its all up for sale. I have a partial list of carts for sale that I made for another person. I have no desire to make a full list of stuff but I have a pile of rare stuff and common stuff too. I may take some pics so you can see the brunt of it all. Anyways have a look at this list and let me know if you want anything. If you have any special requests for things, bring it on. Paypal accepted.[/url]

Only thing I would like is a boxed copy of VIC "Temple of Apshai". If you have that I would like to buy it.

Not really; having two of things means you have a backup when one fails. I try to get two of each computer I collect if it's easy enough to store, and so far have two C128's, two Amiga 500's, two Commodore 64's, and now two Vic 20's. If he had more than two, then I'd call him greedy. ;)

Thank you but I already have one and that is enough. If it ever breaks I will fix it, there are plenty of C64s and 1541s around to donate parts if needs be.

I don't actively collect hardware but I will rescue items of interest that would otherwise end up being scrapped. Even dead items can be diagnosed and harvested for parts like this C64 was.

I have seven or maybe eight VIC-20s. I'm sure I have more than I need. I agree with having two or three for parts / replacements. There have been lots of times my main VIC-20 or 1541 has given me trouble and so I was very happy to have others to go to for parts, or to swap so as to diagnose the problem.

Really, I did not want to have so many, but in many situations they were so cheap or free, or just going to be destroyed otherwise! It's not like I wanted to hoard them! When you see a VIC on the side of the road waiting to be picked up by the garbage truck, you rescue it!

Let's face it, there were millions of VICs made, and there are probably only several thousand hard-core VIC collectors. So...there are more VICs than collectors out there.

I do agree though, that there comes a point when enough is enough.

WOW, awesome collection!

I hope you are keeping something back, so you can still enjoy
using the equipment!

I hate to be nosy, but why get rid of it? That looks to be the
collection of a lifetime!

Kilr -

Do you still have a working VIC-20 available? And possibly a 3K memory
expansion cartridge?

Thank You. Phil Potter.
