As an add-on to the SNES here. Apparently it was Miyamoto who asked Yamauchi for the N64 to be on solid state to remove loading times for the early projects he was working on (including SM64). Except for that, I imagine Nintendo may well have made the N64 an optical based system too. Now if they'd b...

No Galaxian version would ever really work on the Vic20's display due to the screen orientation and nature of Vic graphics (ie. they tend to be a bit wide). I recall prefering the Atarisoft version slightly more myself (it's been a while since I played either) but neither are exactly easy to find (t...

I don't believe any emulator image of the game exists outside of the TAP I did for the author of the game itself. That's why he asked me to do it for him (along with some other adventures he'd written) from his originals. So it's TAP or nothing. I'll have a look for it, I'm sure he won't mind it bei...

@Xanadu - I have around 120 complete Vic20 carts here and about 20 loose, so once you're done, let me know what you still need and I can fill some gaps. Remember also there are name variations to deal with (eg. Jupiter Lander = Super Lander, Midnight Drive = Road Race etc) packaging wise. @Mika - hi...

Well I was randomly pressing some buttons and got to the level editor, so it is in there. You can also save them out as I also randomly found it asking me for tape, disk or abort following some other button press(conclusion being you can load them in). Sounds like I might have a borked cart then sad...

Problem with Lode Runner cart
Anyone else got a real Lode Runner cart for Vic20? Just got a copy of it, plug it in, title screen comes up. Can access the level editor, but when I try to start the game, the screen wraps in and then the computer crashes to a Ready prompt. Want to know if this is a problem with the cart, or the fac...
