Prototyping boards for sale

OK, In all my parts buying I picked up a cabinet full of parts and in it were a bunch of proto boards I thought would be useful here. They are new, old stock 22/44 pin boards that will fit into the cartridge slot on the VIC-20. Radio Shack (Archer) part #: 276-153. Size: 4" wide x 4 1/16" ...

Leeeeee,

Have you finished pinning out the loopback plugs? I checked your website and didn't find anything on it.

Yeah,

I just love getting price quotes based on what eBay auctions are priced at for "buy-it-now"

These people should learn to do pricing based on completed auctions.

If they don't have a track 0 sensor then they knock. It's Commodore's way of finding track 0. Take 40 steps backwards. If you hit the wall, keep stepping until you count 40. Then you KNOW you are at 0. Apple did the same thing but instead of using a stepper motor with a metal belt they used a plasti...

Yeah. It makes me sad that there even needs to be a "code of conduct" thread, or moderators. I still hold out hope that a really minimal conduct code that is more positive in spirit is all we'll need. It's all part of the growing pains that every forum eventually experiences. Some people ...

Here's a forum "agreement" that you have to accept to become a member of another forum I moderate... Maybe you can use some of the language. For reference, this is the Agreement you agreed to when you first got your account at this forum. You agree, through your use of this forum, that you...

If you have the URL it'll save me from having to find it. I'd like to see their reasons.

It's not about saving CPU cycles as that bit banger serial port they implemented doesn't allow for that. ;)

People start complaining already.. :D You have NO idea... I'm an @ on several IRC channels and own one on X on the Undernet network... I moderate on 3 different web forums... and when these silly little user tiffs break out, it's a pain in the ### to the moderator team. We usually crack down ...

Yeah, but Commodore could've taken a page out of Apple's book. They made a set of floppy drives that were controlled by software rather than hardware. Their Disk II drives and the later DuoDisk drives were works of art! A couple of PROMs, a few bits of TTL logic, and some analog devices were turned ...

Warm heat sinks are fine. If you blister your finger, something is wrong.

All this because they were too cheap to put a Track 0 sensor in it....

Sigh.

If the printer has a "self test" mode or the ability self print a test page then try that. If it works, then suspect a bad cable or port on the computer. It's also possible to have cracked solder joints on the serial port of the printer. If it doesn't work then (with the power OFF) try to ...

...I have a ceramic TED but I'd rather keep it as it is part of a prototype board, even though it seems deceased. No surprise. I've never seen a live Ted chip. Every single Ted machine I've ever picked up at thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets, etc... have all been the victim of Ted's suicide.
