I've generated a Final Expansion loader file, if you add this to the .d64 named "LOADER" then it's easy to run it on the FE3, including burning it to flash.

Cheers

Re: New Game: Emu's Massive Hunt (WIP)

I've already started another game. It's a little homage to our friend Chysn, who we sadly lost earlier in the year. It involves baby turtles.

LBM8r2 - little 8x8 sprite library for Turbo Rascal

I've released LBM8 r2 for Turbo Rascal, you can download it here . It is mostly assembler in the tru file so it could be adapted to be used outside of Turbo Rascal if you prefer. I used it for Emu's Massive Hunt and the goal for it was to make moving sprite-like characters around the screen really s...

Re: Hare Basic - Fast integer BASIC for VIC 20 and C-64

I will make some time to give it a go.

Huge thanks for including Vic20 support and if looks like you have everything covered in what the c64 and Vic needs.

Re: Hare Basic - Fast integer BASIC for VIC 20 and C-64

I've just watched Robin's video. It looks most impressive, well done aeb. I wonder if I can interface my lbm8 library with it in some way? Can we add our own go commands? You'd have been a millionaire if you'd released this back in 1984! (edit): Read the manual. I see you have made it super easy to ...

Yea, Turbo Rascal's character editor is pretty good too. It's what I've used for my games.

Re: Formula V20 '85

Really nice. I've not finished a race yet, but getting the hang of it. There's always a car on the bends so if you slow down before you get to one it's easier to avoid a collision. This feels like a game where a bit of practice yields the results. The audio works really well, that engine noise is ni...

Re: WIP: Bubble Bobble

On the VIC-20, that'd imply having two 'layers' of soft-sprites: the top layer for Bub+Bob+enemies which gets updated more often, and the bottom one which contains the bubbles, again as part of the background. Collisions of the enemies with the bubbles can be handled by checking co-ordinates. Yea, ...

Re: WIP: Bubble Bobble

Hewco UK, who for sure is reading this now :-) .... also made a nice video with the soundtrack, few years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myEIysrkwsA I found a nice piano note key (A, C, etc) listing for it which made converting it really easy. I did consider making this game myself, having do...
