VIC-1010 Slot Expander

The VIC-1010 slot expander was a self-powered device which could accept up to six VIC-20 cartridges or expansion port peripherals. The VIC-1010 then plugged into the Cartridge port of the VIC-20 itself, thereby allowing the VIC-20 to use more than one cartridge, Memory Expansion pack, or other Cartridge port peripheral simultaneously.

While the VIC-1010 was bulky compared to other third party slot expanders, it did nicely match the casing of the VIC-20 itself and came with covers for unused slots.
