s-video mod need help

I am working on a MDK 2 IHB board

rev.F
I did something wrong and need to fix it
I lifted FB9 side closest to pin2
and lifted the FB? the one closest to E2 and above Q7 , I lifted the side of the FB closest to the pot
I then took a 2k resistor and soldered it into the 2 empty holes from the lifted FB`s
now I have a very nice looking s-video
if you look at a board and trace it out , you will see what happened was , I separated pin 2 from the circuit and added a 2k resistor and fed it directly to pin 5 of the av 5 pin din
I then fed the svideo signal into my HDMI converter to the 55in tv
but I know its not the proper way , and is most likely the wrong way .....
any advice from someone who has done the mod, on what to do to do it properly?

id expect that we needed a special adapter kit with all sorts of components and parts and jumpers and wires and 15 pages of instructions
just a 1 penny resistor for s-video?

The VIC-20 mixes the luminance and color signals, you just stop the mixing by pulling the color signal out.

I say EXACTLY what I did !
if you are to stupid to look at a board and see with your eyes the location I say I used...it is you that has the problem

and I would like to know a BETTER way to do this
SO YES I AM ASKING!
I give exact board I am using and exact parts I pulled with exact sides of parts and exact part I used !

and I have given no details...WTF!
and no I an NOT selling this

Sure there are many other way, better or worse this depends on your skills and appetite to change a 35 year old board.

Socketed VIC-I : Lift PIN2 (or use a socket with PIN2 removed). Connect a 104 ceramic cap and a 360ohm resistor in sequence and bring to the CHROMA s-video cable. You can use an IC probe-CAP-RESISTOR-1p DuPont to do this or solder.
Soldered VIC-1 : Snip/desolder the end of FB7 that is away from the chip and add CAP-RESISTOR as above and bring to the CHROMA of your s-video cable

See thread above. Socket with PIN2 snipped plus mod (IC grabber, insulated 104 cap, 360 ohm resistor and 1P DuPont connector).

Pull the socketed chip out. Insert the VIC-1 into 2nd socket, and push into original socket. Attach the IC grabber to PIN2 of the chip and have the DuPont connector coming out of the datasette port. 5 PIN DIN connects to luma-audio-gnd and DuPont to chroma. Connect DuPont from cable to DuPont on PIN2 and done.
