Re: Announcement discussions (split from: VIC-20 Software Releases of 2020)
No.
The Announcement section is strictly for announcements only. Posters are however encouraged to add a discussion topic in an appropriate section (Games, Programming, ...) and add a link to the discussion topic into the announcement post of their release.
Keeping discussions out of the announcements has the simple reason that the announcements are intended to serve as quick reference to VIC-20 releases. If we'd allow for discussions at that place, that would only add useless clutter, greatly diminishing the use of the announcements.
If you or someone else has an inquiry about a specific release, where the OP did not open a discussion thread and/or did not post a link to that discussion, feel free to open a new discussion thread yourself, again in the appropriate section, specific to that release. The moderators will gladly add a link into the announcement post, provided the discussion is about the release itself and not just about a missing link to a discussion thread (read this as: the mods do not feel any urge to add discussion threads or edit links into the announcements just because).
