6502 replacement

Post by Articat »

Hi,
I have a vic 20 with a dead 6502 cpu. Is it possible to replace this with a modern W65c02? Im just getting a black screen when I try.
Is it even possible?

Yes, a 65C02 can be adapted to work in the VIC-20, see here: The 3mA 6502 for your VIC!!, and to quote from there:

Greetings,

Michael
