Here's a nice rendition of a tabletop game I knew from the 80ies, written by Nick Sherman: Caveman on VIC-20!
You are a pre-historic man trying a steal eggs from a dinosaur. Don't let the fire breath of the dinosaur roast you. In later levels, pterosaurs annoy you and then there's also a volcanic eruption and you have to evade the lava bombs. Use your axe to deter the pterosaurs and stun the big dinosaur.
Nick Sherman made the game as multiplatform project, so it is supposed to appear also on Plus/4 and PET (originally, on C64).

Mirrored downloads here: cavemanVIC.prg and cavemanVIC_MVTPB0B1B2.prg (for TheC64 in VIC-20 mode).
Notes: unfortunately, the game crashes after the first play and remains in the title screen.
@polluks: thank you for doing the Announcement post. I have moved it into the 2020 thread though to keep the sorting order of the Announcement threads, and I also added a link to the discussion here.

Excellent! This is one of my favorite battery-operated games.

Re: Caveman
Decided to dig out the VIC-20 emulator and give this a go. I really liked it! I never played the tabletop version. I hope you finish this. It needs a nice boxed release.
IMHO, this is the perfect type of game for the VIC-20. Simple, but fun with great graphics.
