OK, that seems to date from sometime after 2016, my FE3 was purchased before that.

If "CD:image.d64" works with newer firmware too would you consider changing your loader files so they work on older systems?

Not sure about the spidey one, that changes to an image in a directory. Will try what works for me.

Much better thank you. Although monopole now seems to load but then just hangs. Everything else I've tried works.

Earlier FE3 firmware had problems with BASIC programs. You can try an alternative FW from https://ops.github.io/FE3-Firmware/

Thanks, I was beginning to suspect that, I can load the file manually. Looks like I have r022d, I did look to update it a long time ago but there were problems reported at that time.

I'll try using the latest image.

OK, flashing the latest FE3 firmware means monopole now loads and runs!

After a long long time, I am happily fiddling with my FE3 again. Just flashed the latest firmware and am exploring all the included programs. It was a surprise to find some titles of mine such as VICtoria (Orion & Mike's best product IMO), the Green on Black compilation, and The Last VIC (which I had forgotten ).

Thanks so much for this. May I suggest splitting the programs and disk images from all documentation? It would be easier when one transfers PRGs and D64s on the SD card, to extract a separate DOC folder in the PC (useless on the VIC).

Should you or anyone else be interested in other titles of the past produced, refined, or converted by Orion70, HERE's the folder .

That is quite opposite to how I see things. I try to keep all files from a release together. Unfortunately in the beginning I did not think much about the structure of collection so i may have dumped some files around.
