MiSTer FPGA

Picked one of these up over the holidays. They are subsidised by Intel at around $120 - quite a bargain given the the chip alone retails for $250.

The (unofficial) Vic-20 core seems functional, although the audio is a bit "rough". The C64 core and other cores are excellent. The response/lag seems much better than emulation to me and feels more like using real hardware.

Anyone else been tempted?

Yes, we have a club member or two who have MiSTer. One of those members has 3 MiST's, too!
