Too much Commodore and Amiga goodness! With the April 27-28 Commodore Los Angeles Super Show being announced yesterday comes the formal announcement of the June 8-9 Pacific Commodore Expo NW (PaCommEx) at

As in the past 2 shows, PaCommEx will have plenty of Commodore and Amiga exhibits, presentations, and perhaps some juicy door prizes! And everything will be at the comfortable and friendly LCM+L. The website is now on-line at

Damn, why is it that all of the cool stuff's happening so far away? Our nerd conventions have only Marvel cosplay and some anime merch aimed at 13 year olds...

Oh, create a Marvel game on the VIC-20, and then bring the game and system to the convention. Or bring a C64 to the convention and play the Marvel games, The Amazing Spider-Man, Dr. Doom's Revenge!, or X-Men: Madness in Murderworld.

That's... That's actually a pretty awesome idea. Retrogaming isn't that common there (because first we had the USSR with little to no imports, and the 90s which were the second worst thing in our history since WW2, so everything older than a PS2 is super rare) so it could help it to get some traction!

The annual Silicon Valley Comic Con has a floor in the huge convention center dedicated to gaming, especially classic gaming. Two years ago it had machines as old as NES but not older. Last year the amount of machines was reduced. I've been trying to figure out a way to get Commodores and Amigas in there (like who would I contact?) Thousands attend the SVCC, and the Commodores and Amigas we would bring couldn't match the banks and banks of NES, Sega, Playstation, and other consoles. But we could try and carve out a little niche.
