"The ChickenHead Chronicles" - my new 8 bit Commodore YouTube series

Post by Dynamic_Computing »

Good day! I have just started a new series on my YouTube channel "10 Minute Amiga Retro Cast" https://www.youtube.com/c/10MinuteAmigaRetroCast
The new series is called "The ChickenHead Chronicles" and will be all about Commodores 8 bit computers - I am mainly doing old VIC-20 and C64 game reviews with my 14 year old son in the series, and having fun doing it! Episode One is up now - It is a review of "Ms. Pac Man" for the VIC-20. Please take a look, and let me know what you think.

Feel free to check out my Amiga related videos while you are there.

I have several new episodes of "The Chickenhead Chronicles" up on YouTube now. This weeks is a review of the really awesome SD2IEC interface that so many of us use. Of course, it works great on the VIC-20! I cover a few file browsers that work as good or better than the FB browser that comes with the card. Take a look! And Subscribe! My next review is on the Penultimate cartridge - which is a work of art!

Do you need a new Power Supply for your lovely VIC-20 CR? Check out my latest review of the ATOM power supply from Commodore4Ever - works on newer VIC-20's, C64's and adapters are available for the PLUS/4 and C128. Check it out!

I just uploaded my new review of the brand new "Realms of Quest V" RPG game for the expanded VIC-20. Prepare to be surprised what is possible on our little white wonder! https://youtu.be/0neitxXw_EI

Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed the first video. That's the first VIC-20 review I've come across with detailed observation of game mechanics. Very informative. Will watch more when I have more time.

This week I am reviewing the really fun Rogue-like Telengard game from Avalon Hill for the Commodore PET, Commodore 64 and now even the VIC-20 computer! What? Yep, some awesome dude named Neo-Rio modified it to run on "The Wonder Machine of the Eighties"!

Very well done and informative, thanks for this! I shamefully neglected this underdog - time to recover it and play using the Commodore 64 instructions (which I assume are valid also for the VIC).

The big box C64 original package was very attractive, I wish some present day producer did something similar for the Neo-Rio conversion. I'd buy with no hesitation :)

Also, your "unbiased" mention of TFW8B made me laugh out loud

This week on The ChickenHead Chronicles We are returning to my Roots: The Commodore VIC-20. Recently in eBay I found a really cool Tape Cassette case from an Estate Sale that still had about 70 VIC-20 tapes in it. Join me as we talk about the Datasette, the history of the tapes and the legacy that I am trying to preserve.
