Denial

Hi,
On my Vic20 cr version made in uk i have some trouble:
i use a datasette emulator for load a .tap game.
sometimes give me black screen
sometimes work good
sometimes when playing i lose the function of joystick work only keyboard, and game other times work in looping mode.
looks like a crazy computer.

That's a wide range of problems. I think you should check your power supply first. Buy a cheap multimeter if you don't already have one, then test the 5V line. Measure both DC and AC volts on the 5V line. If the power supply is 'smooth' enough there should be almost no AC voltage.

Does this trouble happen without the datasette emulator connected?

i keep the emulator (called ucassette) always connected, when work (loadind) the led is light.... but now the led some times is off. lower power to work correctly?

checked the voltage but looks like good, connector is different, have pin: 6,7 for 9 volts and 2,5 for 5 volts.
