I'm proposing two VIC-20 PETSCII Competitions to begin at midnight on October 24, 2017 UTC and to end at midnight on November 1, 2017 UTC.

Plain PETSCII:
1) Must be a PRG file. No SEQ files. May be BASIC, Assembler, C, just has to be a PRG file.
2) Background/Border may be any color you like, but must be same color.
3) No custom fonts.
4) No multi-color characters.
5) No screen splitting. Your background color must be the same for the whole pic.
6) Pic must be 22x23.

Custom:
1) Must be a PRG file. See above.
2) Background/Border may be any color you like, and may be different colors.
3) Custom fonts OK (encouraged?) - Limited to 256 characters to avoid bitmaps.
4) Multi-color characters OK.
5) Screen splitting OK.
6) Pic may be any size you want.
7) Scrolling OK.
8) No BITMAPS!!!

Upload your entries to this thread. Set the subject to the name and type of your entry. Include both a screenshot of your image, as well as the PRG file.

Another thread will be used to tally votes. Votes will be case as your top five of each type, with 1 being the best. Scoring will be the inverse of the order, so your #1 vote will be worth 5 points, etc. Voting will end at midnight on November 7, 2017 UTC.

You may submit up to five entries of each type.

Questions may be asked up to the start time. Entries posted before the start time will be ignored.

Is there a Petscii editor which fits the non-expanded Vic20 for this event? I've got an idea for participation, but unsure how to proceed.

Thanks

When I was younger I would do these line by line in BASIC. That works on unexpanded.

I got one here but gotta convert it over - gonna be a while since I'm at work.
EDIT - I converted it over with some slight touch up in the PETSCII editor - it's pretty sweet! :D
