Is it normal that my VIC (early gold label), emits a lot of heat through the vent ports?
I don't know if this is normal or not

My tends to get hot on the bottom around the vic chip. I eventually intend to get a heatsink for it.

From what I understand they run warm are are disigned to spread and release the heat efficiently.

If a plan on running mine more than an hour i'll set her up with a small fan blowing along the bottom. This seems to help out quite a bit.

I just want to make sure nothing is wrong with my VIC. I would rather ask questions than have to do repairs later
