Repair request

Is anyone near Chicago available for VIC repairs? I'm willing to mail systems too. If not, I think I'll need someone to talk me through some repairs. Both machines are starting to die.

What are the boards, what are the symptoms. How competent are you with a soldering iron ?

Ray Carlsen does VIC-20 repairs. He has repaired several VIC's for me.
