Good afternoon!

I am daydreaming of buying one of those small colour TVs that were produced in the eighties/nineties, as I figure that if I could put it among the instruments of my workbench, I would greatly increase the chances of wiring my good old VIC 20 at evening.

However, there are many of such TVs for sale in the USA, but seemingly none in the EU.

Does anyone remember makes/models of PAL units perhaps, so that I can improve the keywords of my search a bit?



(The Sony KV-5200 above would be simply PERFECT, but I don't think it was ever available in PAL)

You're excluding the Brionvega Algol from your budget, aren't you? (BTW: I am. It's way too expensive. But if you don't dare using the classic VIC TV modulator, there's plenty of choice in Ebay between "space age" CRT TVs, including small ones, even if not as small as 5").

Hi Orion! I used an Algol in its days, but it's a fairly big TV, I'd say around 10-12 inches, the kind of TV you would usually keep in the kitchen. What I'm looking for is a 5 incher, one of those small portables that recall an oscilloscope...

I found them in stores here in Montreal.

You can search for "professional LCD video monitor" or "security cam" on eBay and you will find a lot of choice for 4:3 LCD monitors with video inputs, maybe even in your country!

Thanks for the hints, but as said I'm not interested in LCD monitors.
