On Kickstarter is another film - "The Commodore Story - Changing the world 8-bits at a time". It will cover the time between the Commodore PET to the Amiga. See

Re: The Commodore Story - another film on Kickstarter
What do you mean with "another", Robert? Did anyone make another?
I'd really like to back it, if only I knew that it would be focused on the VIC20. But it just takes a glimpse at the pictures to understand that the VIC20 will be just briefly introduced, perhaps ridiculised for its 5K memory, and then it will be, as usual, 90% about the C64 and the remaining 10% about the boring Amiga system...

GOD is REAL. Unless declared DOUBLE PRECISION.

There was "From Bedrooms to Billions" released in 2014. Then there was "8 Bit Generation: the Commodore Wars" released in 2016.highinfidelity wrote:What do you mean with "another", Robert? Did anyone make another?
Those questions can only be answered by the filmmakers.I'd really like to back it, if only I knew that it would be focused on the VIC20.

Over on Forum64.de they are already objecting to the lack of (German) subtitles. Anyone have contact to the producers?

Re: The Commodore Story - another film on Kickstarter
This looks like a worthwhile project to back. I am now a Kickstarter backer of this project.
and this is also worth considering backing as it might be fun although highly likely to be cheesy!
(perhaps they can be persuaded to consider a VIC 20 as one of those commodore computers...)
From an email sent by the Commodore Story:
Nicola Piovesan, award winning filmmaker and producer, says 'in support of Commodore and The Commodore Story documentary we will include some Commodore computers in the movie' - 'Also my first computer was a Commodore 16 so Commodore has a special place for me also'
At the time of print they have 50 hours left on their campaign, we love this project, so much that I backed them, (looking forward to the film Nicola...)

Re: The Commodore Story - another film on Kickstarter
From an update today :
"We are busy working in the background to get on board the top Commodore Legends and are happy to announce today Robert Russell will feature in The Commodore Story.
Robert Russell was a system programmer and architect on the VIC-20, C64"
