I was looking here, and don't see any 1980 or 1981 CBM monitors. The 1982 / 1983 models 1701 / 1702 are in RAL1019, so aimed at the C64 users
As a kid, I only used the TV in the living room. What (colour) monitor would people have used back then for the VC20/VIC20 ?
1980 Monitor ?

Re: 1980 Monitor ?
Have you read the Denial Wiki about the VIC-20 specific monitor in Japan?

I think most people used colour TVs, though. Everyone I knew did, just like you.

Re: 1980 Monitor ?
I found the 1510 on the forum doing a search before my post. I was only a small kid, and I guess no recollection of stores that sold computers. I assume the 1701 was showcased for both VIC20 and C64 at the same time.
Also the flyer confirms the suspicsion:

No, I believe the 1701 didn't come out until the C64 was released, several years after the VIC-20.
