Hello together,

I found a few papers for a nice routine to work with a few stepping motors and the VIC. I tried this a couple of years ago and it works pretty well.

The original papers are from NASA-HQ.

So, if anyone is interested to use stepping motors and a VIC. Here is the link :

Well, the 6502 (or W65C02 to be more specific) has been sold in excess of 100 million units and sits in everything from cars to medical equipment. It might be 40 years old, but it is still cutting-edge for some applications.

Yes , and that's the funny part of it. Because there are the newest computers around, they can calculate most everything, excepted the 42 question, also they can fly now to Mars and Pluto, but for some other reasons, thy use the VIC-20.
A couple of weeks ago, I was painting in Augsburg at medical research center, I was on a laboratory and I saw a VIC-20, with a fischertechnik build-up-system, and the VIC controls the machine that was mixing in a cube some molecular structures.
I asked the leader of the lab, why he is not using a other computer for the controlling, and he told me, when it's finish with the procedure of mixing, I can switch it off and that's all, also I mustn’t wait xx hours for the shutting down process.

I, was quite impressed after that, and also I was really smiling, because of the fact that a VIC20 is involved by a multi Million Euro research project.

Would you be able to post some photos of this?

I would love to see this and I am sure many other people here would like that too.

I'd make only a few pictures, after I had a short talk to the guy how was working there.I hope it would be display here, because I've never done this before

I'm sorry, I don't have taken that picture of the vic, because I knows that computer. I was only real amazed during my painting that one is still working with fischertechnik and with a VIC, too. But in about 2 weeks I'm be there again, and I walk and ask for a picture of the VIC and also the hardware there, so I hope I've get an OK, because sometimes I'll do a few paintings there and the workers are really nice to me.
So, I can't promise, but I'll do my best.
