I'm after a early US Vic 20 with metal black and silver badge but must also have a pet keyboard.
To match the pet keyboard it must also have a low serial number to match having a pet keyboard.

Must look the same as this one

Needs to be good condition with little to no yellowing and have a PSU

Can't cost an arm and a leg as my little one eats them

I have one of these but I can tell it is worth an arm and a leg...

Serial no. is 7829 which implies my VIC-20 is among the first 8000 units manufactured in north america.

Judging by the date codes on the circuits, it will be celebrating its 35th anniversary in the coming months.

Is the badge of early US Vic-20s metal??? I thought it was paper like here, but silver colored.

I beleave the early US Vic 20's had a metal main badge and metal power one also

I have a VIC-20 wit PET-style keyboard and metal main and power badges.

The paper badge is specific to europe.

In north america, there were 2 styles of badges for the VIC-20, The rainbow colored one similar to the C64 and the early BW on shiny metal.

My first VIC-20 (nov. 1983) was a strange brew, it had the BW shiny metal badge but it was a VIC-20cr.

No, that VIC-20 needs case retro-brighting, and the keys need cleaning and re-springing.
