And another couple of hours spent on this coding and testing. Not that I'd get any better. Plus the original machine setup has gone to eff. But the sprite code got faster once more.
I've just tried this on my Vic. It's really good! Great graphics, sound, and music.
As other people have mentioned the paddles are a bit wobbly, but almost all paddle games are like that, and I could enter my initials okay on the score table.
I just got to level 10. Is it okay to put it on YouTube?

As it happens I just tried it out on a real PAL thing myself and the paddles are working really well for the Vaus.

Sure. Let's have the link! I'll follow up.

Revision #1593 still not stable, but there's great news: the game play improved dramatically! And if you played this on a NTSC VIC I'm sure that you'll want one. The WAV file works, recorded of a crap pile of a tape deck.
Headline: Sprites got faster again. ~4K left. Hardcore bug close to a kill.
Mostly running at 60fps unless the Disruption Mode with three balls comes up and/or it gets really fast.

fantastic - I can see it's got smoother even in VICE. Will try on the real metal at the weekend with paddles.
Really looking forward to the finished product.
Top line now flickering during into music, but I guess you know that.

Yes. Contributors should be quick if they want to file updates.
