It got a good punch by a parcel service before the Pulse release, decayed over time and probably needs replacing. Will care about that when I'm back in Berlin. There's also the promise of getting a job – in the entertainment business this time. Away from programming.

This took me ages to ponder this and at some point one has to draw a line to get on with stuff.

After the release of Arukanoido and finishing a web site for a friend I need a complete change of business. Yep, Miles Davis is kicking the trumpet in favour of not killing anybody. ;) Other jobs are waiting outside the IT world into which I basically don't fit.

Will hack a thing or two for the VIC when there's really nothing left to get done but that'll most probably be little contributions to other people's work in silence. Cannot let it take over.

I ditched IT myself so I totally understand. I actually owned an IT company I founded in 2001. I ended up just getting sick of the work and closed it in 2015. It's a good rule to not let hobbies interfere with life...they are for spare time.

I'm still looking forward to this game! Thanks for making it!

Good summarization. You nailed it. My eyes are glazing over when I see code. Bringing out the thing will be a great conclusion. Thank you!

After all those years of struggle around cancer I'll be nursing my Dad until he checks out. The hospitals here aren't what anyone deserves. But we got an excellent home care service that is funded by the City of Bielefeld. Will be back after that. Use Wikipedia. Use sun cream.

I exchanged letters with a boy from Bielefeld like 30 ago. His games were newer than mine, but as I was approaching 18 yo I wasn't really interested anymore. I was rather looking for utilities or something surprising. So I was lazy and didn't follow.
It's interesting that in my area, 100 miles from BCN, while it was difficult to find C= hardware or software, it was easy to find foreign magazines.
I used to buy a couple of monthly magazines, a national one and RUN from the US. As the time went by I switched to Compute's Gazette, Commodore Magazine, Ahoy ...
In the last times I used to buy "64'er", although barely watched the images and the ads. I was so much more passionate at 14 than at 18 ...

My own father died of cancer in January 2013. My mother, in august 2016. The last days, the last moments are extremely important.
Be normal.

Dad kicked the bucket on the morning of the 10th of April. Side effect: don't have to deal with idiots that make one feel like one had a double Harvard major – and my motivation to code is back. :)

Sorry to hear that. My mother checked out 7 years ago, and I got to say goodbye, which was a good thing. My father is still holding out, and mostly complaining. But he has complained for the last 40 years, so its normal.

New code.. yea. Game or utility?

Yeah, mine was also very good at complaining non-stop.

I'll continue with Arukanoido of course. :)

Pixel,

You have my condolences for the loss of your father. I can't even imagine how you're dealing with it.

Also, thanks for making such a great game! I just wish I was better at playing it!
