The green one is the C64funs mini SD2IEC (32 euros + postage) and the white one is the JenMa NE-sd2iec (29 euros + postage). Both offer a descreet solution near to built in. The green is lower profile so better suited for C64C/C128 cases, and the white one works better with breadbin due to slightly larger size.

It you want to save a TAP file to a cassette, how do you do it ?

This was my 1st thought, also confirmed in then manual:
Note: during the loading operations it is possible
to press Record & Play buttons on a C2N recorder
attached to the C64SD card to save the data to
the recorder.
I was thinking there was some utility feature to do this.

After multiple attempts (2 datasettes and 2 tapes) I have given up on this idea. One time only I got a usable recording (which was not loadable again). I don't know if it's the tapes or the datasettes and I lost patience trying to find out now.

Possibly both. But did you clean the datassette heads with cotton and alcohol?

This was the 1st thing I did.
