Congratulations to the perfect review in the new issue of Commodore Free - well deserved!

I received my game yesterday and managed a quick session before bedtime. The presentation, intro screen and music is outstanding and the gameplay is dazzlingly explosive! The feeling of power and controlled mayhem is almost unrivalled on 8-bit machines. On the Vic 20, only Jeff Minter's Matrix (brilliant) and Hellgate (unplayable) come close. On the 64 ... i don't know ... some Manfred Trenz game perhaps? But I'm not sure they really match the raw power of Pulse... I'll make some coffe and continue playing it now :D

It gets really hard when those bombs start clustering in on you! I haven't reached 1000p yet (just 751 to be honest ) I really need my best Tac-2 for this, but my thumbs start to cramp badly after a while. Really angry at all my joysticks at the moment - none work perfectly, the diagonals are always letting me down  But I'm sure I'll reach 1000p soon with a little more practice and strengthend thumbs. Very fun shooter!

Well, just rest your thumb on the fire button, I suggest.

I have a bunch of old–school joysticks with micro switches to sell, by the way. They*re really making a difference.

Those great reviews are doing my head in. Very enjoyable. Thank you.

Being compared to Jeff Minter and Manfred Trenz is basically a wet dream coming true. I'll do my best to follow up.

Heh, when I get something from England, it usually takes only 6 days for me to receive it in the mail. When I order from Canada, it usually takes a month!

A disk version for those who like to do a quick round from sd2iec or floppy has been sent to (almost) everyone who got the tape. They're now part of the package.

I want to thank you so much for this disk version. It will gladly sit in my SD2IEC device :).
