I have a Vic20 with FE 3 Rev 10
The 1541 works like dev # 8
The SD 4GB Ram as dev # 11
I CAN NOT in any way to configure the Flash 512MB Ram
With the program FE3RD.
I tried in all ways but nothing.
I will show: RAM DISK INIT # 170
And then the Vic crashes.

Possibly you're mixing up things.

The FE3 has a 512K Flash EEPROM and 512K RAM.

You can use the firmware of the FE3 to add cartridge images to the Flash EEPROM.

FE3RD is a utility which realises a RAM Disk inside the 512K RAM. 32K of this RAM are used to provide the different 'standard' RAM expansions (also configurable from the FE3 firmware), and the remaining 480K now behave like a disk drive with device number #13. You can copy files to and from the RAM disk. The RAM disk is slightly faster than the built-in SD2IEC with SJLOAD, but of course it loses its contents as soon as power is switched off, and thus is more suited for temporary storage or running a multi-load program faster after its parts have been pre-loaded to the RAM-Disk.

The message: "RAM DISK #13 (3985)" just indicates that the driver has been successfully installed. You can now use the RAM Disk with the standard LOAD, SAVE, OPEN, CLOSE, CMD, PRINT#, GET# and INPUT# commands (and the corresponding KERNAL calls) as usual, as device #13.

The number in parentheses indicates the address, which can be POKEd to to change the device number to another one, which might more suit you. If, for example, you do a 'POKE3985,9', the RAM Drive will now listen as device #9 afterwards. Just make sure you don't give it a device number which is already used by another device on the serial bus (the SD2IEC for example).

Restart only with reset button or switch Off and then ON

With Wedge commands

If i change device from #8 TO #12 OK OK
But the #13 return #8
The same for #14 and #15
My drive 1541 on #8 Work OK
The SD Ram on #9 or #11 Work OK
The flash ram not work
Mesage " Device Not Present" Error

Where is the flash program for upgrade ??

I don't think you want to use the RAM drive, because as Mike already explained it does not write to flash memory.

Anyway, Fe3RD crashing doesn't sound good. Are you using the latest version 1.0.0?
