catchy french translation

Post by OBSysteme »

Jeff! you translated in french:

Sensation librement à écrire en toute langue. La matière est limitée à l'ordinateur de commodore.

that is quite original and fun! Re-translated to literal english it would mean:

Free sensation to write in any language.

or... have the free feeling of writing in any language.

The frenchmen that I am would say:

"sentez-vous libre d'écrire en toute langue"

meaning,

"feel free to write in any language".

somehow, I think its quite catchy to "have the free feeling of writing in any language" --> Its feels like an exciting retro-advertisement for a multi-language keyboard :P

cheers

Verbal French is fun it is very figurative and playfull in possible expressions.

However, in writing, it is absolute nightmare with too many rules and exception.

I remember when we were young we were all french kids in an all french school, and the subject we hated more was not math, not english, but "FRENCH". o0
