Granted, the Apple II had all those internal expansion slots and (from the IIe onwards) an 80-column screen, but when it came to the features that mattered to me in the mid 80s the C64 left the Apple II in the dust. Not that I knew that back then as the Apple II was virtually unknown in Sweden at the time – I knew that it existed but nothing more.
