GameBase20 populated database?

Hi everyone. Can somebody please tell me if there is a ready-populated GameBase20 database configuration? (ie. all games and screenshots set up already).

The only way I've been able to get GameBase 20 v2 working with GameBase is by creating a new database.

Thanks :?:

Not sure I completely understand your problem. What version of the Gamebase frontend are you using?

The official GB20 thread is here on Denial, where you will find links to direct downloads for the entire archive (database, screenshots, games etc) or a torrent link for Underground Gamer.

EDIT: Having now seen your post on Lemon64, I think I understand the issue. The folder Vic20_v02 MUST BE extracted into the Gamebase directory itself, wherever you placed that (many people put it C:\PROGRAM FILES). This Vic20_v02 directory contains the MDB database file you are after.

This applies to all databases that work with the frontend, in that they must be in a directory off the main Gamebase directory and in a folder called X where the database file is called X.MDB.

So you should have a folder looking like C:\PROGRAM FILES\GAMEBASE\Vic20_v02 that contains the Vic20_v02.mdb file.

Any chance of a web-browseable version like GB64 has?

Thank you!

Thanks Mayhem. I must be burnt out or something. I did indeed find the populated .mdb file.

Its now all set up fine with the Vice2.2 script - even sets the correct RAM expansion etc.

Now I can relive my childhood years whenever I want to.. and see if I can complete that annoying adventure called The Quest. I could have done so on the C64 but there's just something about a 22x23 character screen! :-)

Long live the Vic - the only computer I was capable of knowing everything about! :-)

I will note that the current iteration of GB20 does NOT support Vice 2.2, because it has a couple of crippling bugs in it. You should use version 2.1 and then upgrade to 2.3 when it is eventually released.

If someone wants to put it together, then they have my blessing, but I have neither the time nor the web skill to put it together myself.

Surely the GB64 web interface could be re-used? Maybe this could be a Commodore Bounty...
