Patched version of Frogger '07 available

Post by rga24 »

Happy New Year!

I have made available a patched version of Frogger '07 with the volume level fix. This version removes the distortion on real VIC-20 computers when two or more audio channels are playing at once.

The bad news is that I've contacted Victragic in many ways during last year for this fix but he never replied me.... I'm a bit worried :?

Btw if you agree, I will use this version for next Mega-cart firmware release.

OK, I've just crunched the fixed volume 8 version of Frogger '07 to use it on Mega-Cart, get it here if you prefer the crunched version (click on the small download link on bottom right).

PS: For the crunching work, I've used the latest beta 8 version of exomizer, very big compression and fast decompression, the file is now just 8.983 bytes instead of the original 19.951 bytes

You always need a Vic+16K of course.

Slightly off-topic:Exomizer? Is it better than pucrunch? Where is beta8 to be found? Best I could find was beta7

Based on my experience, generically yes.

In effect I use a private beta sent to me from the author that fix some problems I've reported him by using the beta7.

I think you may ask the author for the new version, he is very kindly.
