Luxur, I've also got LOADS of duplicates of the Imagine vic-20 tapes.
Maybe cheaper to send from Norway..

This isn't something new I got, but it is something I built that's Vic-20 specific.

Just won some remote wireless gamemate joysticks!

Would anyone be interested in a modern version? Just looking at some 433MHz transmitters ;-)

I was going to buy them but I'm a little skint at the mo. I asked the seller if they had been fully tested and he said they worked 100%. Have fun with them! :)

As far as a modern equivalent goes, I'd be up for that. My modern living standards (read Irene!) precludes cables strewn across the lving room floor... :)

What were you thinking? Receiver in the Vic joystick port and a box you plugged any old joystick into or more of an internal fit in the joystick? Or have I been Aspergic and it was just a quip?! :)

Not to worry, the games will not disappear as most of the Imagine releases for vic-20 on tape I probably have to pay people to get rid of :)

I've got lots of duplicates of vic-20 tape games.

Today was like Christmas for me as lots of different things arrived all at once:

Image

I got the Tape 20 pack from 6502dude as well as a bunch of tapes from eBay. These were:

Animal Magic
Shark Attack
Space Attack
Space Escort
Mind Twisters
Exterminator
Four Gates to Freedom

I also got the two books in the picture. At last, I finally got the 2nd Book of Vic.

The best thing about all these goodies was when I opened the Tape 20 pack to find the high score card had scores from kids from 27 years ago. It really swelled my heart to think of these kids playing these games all those years ago. Sweet. Now, I'm off to beat Wanda's 27 year records! :P

I was going to say the VIC 2 book was the best find, but hand written programs and notes are priceless! I just love when I find a program. I really wish I had mine from back then.

Yeah the Tape 20 pack is nice. The packaging is probably the best Ive seen for a compilation of 8 bit games. It really is pretty nice. As I alluded above it comes with a folded, printed card for recording high scores. It's a really cool touch.

You seem to have scored some nice things there yourself. Hopping mad isn't even in GB20! I have been trying on and off for months to make a PRG image for Mayhem but haven't had any luck...

I also love Spectre. It's a great game! :)

Yeah, I'll be needing a few images and scans off people in due time for GB20... in the meantime, if the winners can tell me the year of release for Animal Magic, Golden Apples of Zeus and Turbo Grid then I can fill those in.

Animal Magic has no date on it but judging by the catalogue number (G1021) it must be 1983. I have a fair few Romik cassettes but this is the only black one and it's the only one with no date on it.

I haven't had a chance to load it up yet but I will have time tomorrow. I'll let you know if it comes up eith any dates. :)

I made a bid for that. If I didn't have other stuff going on ATM, you would have had a much stronger fight on your hands  .

Well, I decided that rather than going to bed that I'd rig up my Vic and try out Animal Magic. It is the same as the version in GB20 and doesn't show any copyright year. :)
