Denial Collection on Ebay

Post by Jeff-20 »

FYI: I put a boxset on Ebay to get some publicity for the site. I had put a few aside just in case a package got lost in the mail. I didn't want someone to pay and not get one. But now as almost all have arrived, I can start bleeding off the extras.

It's item 280452039530. I had fun with the listing.

What will you do if bidding exceeds $10,000? I'm thinking maybe you could pop out of one of those big cakes. Just brainstorming here.

For ten grand, I'm prepared to do a little dance. I predict this will go for $10. That's about what DC2 went for on ebay. This is collection has more to it, but the prices on ebay have dropped with the economy. Not many homebrews come up, and those that do seem to go unsold.

Better be careful on that "deliver anywhere" promise. If sombody in Antarctica buys those, your ticket my cost you more than $5000.

:D :D :D

woo-hoo! got a bid. At least there won't be the embarrassment of having a homemade item go unsold.

And so Jeff's estimate is out the window, cos it's already up to $20 ;)

Oh, I re-read the thread --- Jeff only dances if the bid makes $10,000 and not $10. I was getting a little sick from the imagery, but feel better (and safer) now. :P

It would be a bit of an anti-climax if the winning bidder lived in Chicago. If he lives in California, you could do the 2,400 mile road trip in National Lampoon's Vacation.

Sliding further into OT land, this reminds me of Handsome Pete. Aye, he'll be dancing for hours.

I know at least one Commodore user who part of the year spends his time in Antarctica. But he's more into PET than VIC-20, I believe.

You made quite a sale there Jeff! Well done. Hopefully, the buyer will turn up here and let us know what they think...or is it someone we already know? :)

EDIT: Grammar.
