Be forewarned. That there is a 4.2MB click.

Give up the details, Schema. We have ways to make you talk.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.

You have interfaced an external sound chip with the VIC, alternatively something to synchronize two sound sources?

Sounds like he's made a MIDI interface for the VIC, or at least a way to synchronize the VIC with a sequncer. Cool!

I don't know but whatever it's sounding pretty groovy! When I started listening to the tune I thought "Oh, a nice wee remixy Vic tune thing..." but then the tune kicked in proper and I really liked it. :)

I'm going with the consensus and suggest a MIDI interface of some sort. My other guess (hope?) would be a SID interface and new tracker program...

Regardless, if it involves Vic music I'm all up for it. I think I'm about the only person in the world who likes it but I really like the sound from the Vic...when done properly!

My guess would be a SID-20, and the VIC-I sound output wired into SID's auxiliary input (where filters can be applied).

What's Schema working on now?

I hear that it's baby #3 and he's practicing from the sidelines :P

Could it be a MIDI adaptor for the VIC-20?

Finally caught up after getting home.

Yup, it's a MIDI Cartridge for the VIC. It turns out that eslapion had already built one for davidv_ a while ago. So I offered to take the prototype and finish off the software. It's already quite usable. Here's a simple web page with the details.

Ah, very nice. I say the musical number starts off slow at first and then picks up at the end. :)
