New Game Release: You Count

Post by Jeff-20 »

You Count
A game for the Unexpanded Vic 20, keyboard controlled. All BASIC.

It seems like I haven't made a game in forever! I'm on vacation and away from my vic, but I found this saved online. It's really silly. Another late night effort, so don't expect much...!

I had planned to make graphics, but I must have just forgotten about it. Still, I think it's kind of fun. I think I made it a few weeks ago after some of you were talking about your obsession with numbers.

The Story:
We learn how to count before we know if we count. Prove you count in 60 seconds.

Game Play:
A random sequence of numbers appears before you. Using the number keys, answer each question as it appears on screen.

You will score 2 points for each correct answer and lose 1 point for each incorrect answer. Achieve the highest score in 60 seconds.

Now I remember! I wanted to make use of the Atari keypad. If enough of you have one, I think this would be a good game for it.

Or foggy adults. I actually didn't intend for this to be a kids game, believe it or not... hahaha. It's more about how fast your brain can keep up.

I can barely do over 40. I was inspired by that Brain Training game by Nintendo. If you add 100 to your score, you'll have your IQ.

That's definitively my favourite: "What was the number you last pressed?"

At last the questions about what numbers are multiple of other numbers have been answered. :P

I'll bet the kids do a lot better on this game than the adults. You Count seems to require exactly the observational skills a seven year old has in abundance  .

Thanks! I just don't know what makes a good game. When I think everyone's going to like something, they don't, and vice versa! I thought this would be a huge success
