x1541
Does anyone here sell the x1541 lead? I need one that is compatible with a five year old hp pavillion laptop with windows xp and a 1541 drive.
Beware that you are actually looking for a XM1541 or XA1541 cable, not the very old X1541 cable. Furthermore, make sure you have a parallel port on the laptop.
Sometimes you can find rather cheap cables or adaptors on eBay, believe it or not. Depending how tight space is on the back side of your PC, an adapter may not be suitable. It also requires you to own a regular IEC cable to plug into it.

I got an updated version of the older X1541 cable, which made life immensely easier on a newer workstation and Linux: the XEM1541. Of course, once I got one of Jim Brain's uIEC/SD -- it was a no brainer!
If you want my X1541 cable, I still got it. Send me a PM.
