The question is if all shafts are of the same dimensions. I suppose you'd like somebody in the UK to offer you a few, because shipping costs from mainland Europe or from the USA may be just as bad when items are very light.

I think it will be a couple of US Dollars to ship some stuff in a padded envelope.

I dont mind paying a few dollars for shipping
the shaft in question isnt like the standard c64 shaft it is slightly larger in diamaterit still uses a spring and has the cross x onto which the cap fits

I could quite easily replace the whole keyboard but it would be a shame as the keyboard and vic is in great shape in fact it was purchased by me on ebay got it cheap but it cost me quite a bit to get it shipped

here is the item number 220356714752

It'll be a few days as I'm out of pocket helping mom while she's in the hospital. She had her back worked on and is doing GREAT!

She's in FAR less pain now.

Thanks!

I took her home yesterday late afternoon, it was a 3 hour drive but she did very well. I got home late last night and have today off work.

3 screws, a couple of cages, and 1 metal rod. It was an amazing transformation. She was in horrible constant pain from her back injury for years. Her back would hurt and the pain would radiate down her legs.

When she came in from recovery she was joking with the nurses and SMILING! She was absolutely BEAMING! I asked her how the pain was and she said "Oh, this is manageable! My incision hurts but my back pain and leg pain are GONE."

I haven't seen her this bubbly in YEARS. Those docs were amazing :D

I'll go digging for keyboard parts today.

Just got back from storage... No luck. I must've tossed out that keyboard when cleaning the shop. None of my parts machines have that keyboard type.

I've got a VIC with a couple keys broken off, I picked it up cheap off of Craigslist origionally for parts, but now am thinking of finding a C64 keyboard for it. Either way, I can rob more keys from it if you want, I just don't know if it's the model you're after or not. Plus factor in the shipping from the US I suppose.
