64NAV: 64HDD Pro File Manager
Alan Reed has released 64NAV, a new file manager for the 64HDD Professional. It has a mouse-driven or joystick-driven GUI and more features listed below. Written in DotBASIC Plus, 64NAV comes with a 2-page PDF which describes its use. To download, go to

Other features include:
- Single file program that can run in any disk image or DOS partition.
- Custom character set and graphics, supports mouse in port 1 or Joystick in port 2.
- Supports up to six 64HDD drives
- Automatically detects all PC drives.
- Easily activate/deactivate/define drives
- Send DOS Wedge commands to any drive.
- Displays directories up to 300 filenames
- Navigate by clicking any part of the DOS path: Click "progs" in C:\DOS\PROGS\TEST\PROJECT to move to PROGS folder.
- A buffer feature that allows the user to save any directory to RAM to be instantly recalled later.
- Sort directories alphabetically.
- Search directories for any string.
- Fast multi-file copier using 64HDD's KOPY command.
- Scratch multiple files
- Real-time clock

Alan has almost disappeared from the Denial community. That's too bad.

64NAV is a great creation. I have 64HDD and I am sure I will find it very useful. The only sad part is, it has been created using DotBASIC which is not available on the VIC-20.
