I was wondering. Does anyone know if a Vic 20 would fit inside a C64c case? It could really nice with a top-loading cart slot...

Yes, it will. There have been several such mods discussed here at Denial (for example).

If I were to ever buy a VIC 20 some of what you have done is tempting.
