Post by formater »

I search for some document who described the Kernel Routines with yours address of start, parameters etc.
If someone know some documents I appreciate very much the information.
Thanks in advance.

Please take a look at:

http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/ ... kernal.txt

This is for the C64, so the 'Real code' column might have some different addresses for the VIC-20. In practice, this doesn't matter, as you should call the routines via the address given in the column 'Jump addr'.

It would be helpful, if you'd give the context your question arised upon.

Richard Cini wrote a number of articles for Hacking in late 80's for Vic-20 Kernel disassembly.

He also had a bunch of this detail on his web site.
My link for the site seems to now be dead :(

I have these on file.

Richard Cinis site had in depth Vic-20 Kernel disassembly, Micro magazine, Kim notes, & lots of old 65xx series application notes and lots of other neat content.

Much of the 6502 stuff got published on 6502.org web site, but Rich's site was always a pleasure (given the classic green text on black background).

Give a look to this Carlsson's thread.

The thread I started however mainly contains jumps into the Basic ROM routines, while Formater asked (and received an answer) about the official Kernel routines.
