Commodore Cartridge Fonts

Post by hawk »

I used the link that Carlsson provided

What The Font

to analyze the fonts of the standard Commodore game carts.

Here are the results:

The font for the part number (Superstar) is identical to ITC Machine with a sort of added outline.
Be normal.

It's similar, but not identical. See the bevelled lower corner of the 4 in ITC Machine for an obvious difference. Also, the gaps between strokes, and the thickness of the central strokes of "M" and "W".

None of the "commodore" fonts found match the "d" of the original cartridges, or the rounded corners of the letters.
