Commercial games on disk
Does anyone know of any games released for the Vic20 back in the day that came on disk? I only ask because one of my recent purchases arrived and I'm looking through the stack and seeing on the back of one box... LOAD"*",8 .
Huh?! Look at the front, disk drive required it says. Double woah. Open it up (it was shrinked) and indeed inside is a disk. So guess I'll be transfering that one over next time I'm by the 1541...

I'm very curious about that. What's the game title? Pics of the cover/inlay/back?
AFAIK, there were only some rare utilities coming on disk (see http://sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web/bul ... .php?t=921).

And they probably still need to be added to GB20... though I've now got 7 ALA games in there. Who knows how many more they released...
Volcano Blast by the looks of it is just a simple Blitz/Bomber style game, but I'll have more on it when I transfer the disk...

I always like the "ALA Software" titles. They made the best games. I especially liked the high quality casette holders. I remember I bought an ALA game that was based on breaking into a specific building and trying to crack a safe open. I can't, for the life of me, remember the name of the game though.,
