At last night's Bunker Commodore Meeting in Bochum, Germany, I demonstrated the PAL Behr-Bonz cart to all.I wrote:At the June 24 Commodore Scene meeting in Preston, England, I gave a PAL Behr-Bonz cart to Shaun Bebbington of MicroMart newspaper.

It's NOT actually a 'C' for Commodore, it's a 'D', for Denial...what we're all in. I preferred the backwards 'C' to the "Chicken head" 'D' logo that was proposed, 'cause we're also all a little backwards.
Eslapion doesn't actually sell the carts complete. He just provides the circuit board. Providing the case is up to you. I chose to use a Commodore case, hence the "Commodore like" label I've made. I've just suggested that he make the file available for other to do the same.
I guess I could have gone for a totally new cart label appearance, but it wouldn't have been nearly as nostalgic, and I'm not really that creative.
And I wouldn't get too upset about Eslapion selling the carts, at the price he sells 'em for, he'd hardly be covering his costs.
As for the law...well we've all got our way of justifying what we do so we can sleep straight a night. When it comes down to it, most people who play with retro-machines are stretching the law in one way or another...it's all a matter of degree.

It's not upside down; it's backwards and you would know why if you had read the Mega-Cart label threads.RobertBe wrote:(but why is the C= upside-down?)
Speaking of which, it's a shame that the Behr-Bonz label design is so similar to the label ral-clan designed for the Mega-Cart.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.
I guess it's inevitable that they look very similar...the Commodore label is the most obvious label to copy to get that "Retro" feel.gklinger wrote:It's not upside down; it's backwards and you would know why if you had read the Mega-Cart label threads.RobertBe wrote:(but why is the C= upside-down?)

As for the Denial logo...like I said, I liked his proposal...I think it's a fitting logo for a group of people tinkering on Commodore's 'trailing edge'.

Considering how carefully the fonts have been selected, I think it bears striking similarity to original Commodore carts far more than it does the Megacart label.gklinger wrote:... Its not everyone's responsibility to read all the threads related to other devices just because somebody else decided to also make a label that has similarity to original Commodore VIC-20 carts.
Be normal.
