C=Key Commodore Keyboard Interface

Post by brain »

As noted in http://sleepingelephant.com/v-web/bulle ... php?t=2434, I am offering beta testing units for sale, in the following configurations (prices do not include shipping):

USD$10.00 Programmed CPU
USD$20.00 CPU and MT8812 Cross Point Switch
USD$30.00 CPU and Board
USD$40.00 CPU, MT8812, and Board
USD$43.00 C128/C128D to PC Kit
USD$41.00 VIC/64/64C/SX64 to PC Kit
USD$50.00 PC to C128/C128D Kit
USD$50.00 PC to VIC/64/64C/SX64 Kit
USD$52.00 Universal Kit

Options:

USD$05.40 2 joystick sockets (to use joysticks with PC)
USD$15.00 Assembled Unit (must specify target computer)
USD$04.60 US shipping (I'm happy to ship elsewhere, just determine shipping from ZIP 52402)

Currently, I do not have a source for the PS/2 molded plugs (like a PS/2 mouse cord), so those are not included in kits or assembled units (I suggest cannibalizing an old dead mouse, though I can solder one up if someone mails it to me). C128D and SX64 machine operation require a DB25-DB25 M-M gender changer or you can wire the unit internally.

I have about 10 first run boards and then, based on interest, I'll probably make a larger board/parts order.

I'll try to put some pictures up on http://www.jbrain.com/vicug/gallery/c=key Of some of the finished units here.

I want to make absolutely sure folks understand these are beta units. They work and work well, but I am not a perfect developer, so I am positive there are some bugs. Early adopters preferably should not be skittish around a solder iron. :-) From a firmware perspective, all the standard keys work. The VICE joystick support and some of the more esoteric keymappings may be incorrect, though. As well, I assume some may want CCS64 or other emu mappings, which can be accommodated if I can get a mapping document.
