I suppose you mean c:a 1995-96, otherwise it isn't so impressive. :)

Oops that was a typo. I mean to say the printer was from about 1985-86. He was using it just last year or so when I saw his VIC setup.

Anyway, it was this one:

I think he was getting ribbons from Staples or something like that (common office supply chain).

As I recall it was a very good printer. Fast, bi-directional, NLQ, and it had the important Commodore serial connection and Commodore PETSCII graphics in the ROM.

Of course, I also keep on hand some older parallel port inkjet printers. With a printer interface (like the Super Graphix Jr.) you can run it just like a Commodore printer.
