I decided I probably wasn't ever going to get around to using the ADAM, and I wanted more room for Amiga stuff (namely, my A2000), so I put it up on the Bay:

I suspect that's the real shipping cost and not the usual eBay padded shipping. For one thing, the Adam's printer/power supply weighs a ton and the shipping within Canada is really inexpensive.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.

No no.....

It's pronounced (and written) "S00PER RARE VINTAGE COMMADOR"

(note important use of zeros instead of "o"s).

Yes, the shipping prices are actual shipping prices, based on the lowest cost shipping available. You may not see it in time for Xmas. If you want it faster (within a week), the cost of shipping almost doubles.

I figure it's better to cite the cheapest shipping option, then leave it up to the buyer if they want something faster. I know how turned-off I get by high shipping charges.

Even if it takes three months, it is surprisingly low, or I misjudge the size and weight of a Coleco Adam.

Ah, surface mail! If I understand correctly, the USPS have quit shipping goods that way due to anti-terrorism issues, or if it was anti-competition issues related to DHL, UPS, FedEx etc... Previously, the Canadian Post was considered one of the more expensive in the world, but if you can ship a 14 kg package for 100 USD, it is fairly OK. I believe USPS would charge 170 USD or so, but then send it by air mail.

Well, it's now officially sold, for the amount of $33.61. Not quite as much as I thought it'd sell for, but considering it cost me $5 at a garage sale, I'm not going to complain! My only regret is that I just didn't have the time nor the space to commit to this interesting, ill-fated machine.
