Well.. I compiled a VIC-20 version of contiki-1.2-devel1 on January 17th this year. Very few, close to nobody gave any feedback (which is how it usually works in the VIC-20 community) so there was nothing more to do, other than optimizing the window positioning and sizes. Still there is no standardized, mass-produced network interface for VIC-20 and although I considered making the uIP module a loadable "driver" and looked into cc65 and Contiki what it takes to load modules into the 8K RAM/ROM (block 5), I had other things to attend to.

Heh.. that was my 1901:st post, which makes me an Avenger. Next post will make me a Star Battler and so on.

Would it be possible make cartridge version of Contiki OS. Same cartridge had extra memory thats needed.. Ofcourse it could use discdrive as swap etc. But cart could be loaded to memory at same time you switch power on.

Maybe these are just silly dreams, but..

Hey.. What if.. This cartridge also had ethernet connector..

I don't know any VIC-20 cartridges that are more than 16K, but certainly it is possible to map ROM into blocks 1-3 plus 5, for a total of 32K ROM. It is a later question, and not so important though as it barely solves any problems.
